Nuclear without compromise

Thorizon is building a new generation of modular reactors to power industry, data centers and energy independence. Our molten salt technology is intrinsically safe and affordable. By using nuclear waste as fuel, we unlock far more value from the resources the world already has.

Affordable power and
high temperature heat

Thorizon is a European developer of next-generation small modular reactors. Our reactors provide reliable baseload power and high-temperature heat for industry. Their compact footprint and low-pressure operation enable deployment close to where it’s needed. Together with leading partners in energy and manufacturing, we are bringing the first Thorizon reactor to market. Designed for series production from day one.

The most complete nuclear technology

Molten‑salt reactors uniquely provide both power and high‑temperature heat with unmatched safety and the most efficient use of fuel. Thorizon’s patented cartridges divide the reactor core into smaller modules, unlocking the benefits of off-site series production and true modular scalability. Easy to operate, move, and deploy, these cartridges make building reactors faster and more flexible than ever.

Building the next generation
of energy together

No one builds the future alone. That’s why we work with leading partners across engineering, operations, fuel production, research and financing. These collaborations let us design, license, manufacture, and deploy our reactors at speed. Together with our partners and customers, we are scaling Thorizon reactors to deliver clean, affordable energy to the companies that need it today.

From research to reality

Thorizon was founded as a spin-off from NRG, the Netherlands’ national nuclear research institute, where our molten salt technology was developed quietly for decades. Since then, we have moved from research into real-world development, securing investment and partnering to rapidly design, prototype, and test our technology. Construction starts in the early 2030s.
