Kiki Lauwers appointed as CEO Thorizon

As of May 8th, 2023, Thorizon management will be strengthened by Kiki Lauwers, who has been appointed as CEO. With founders Lucas Pool responsible for business development and Sander de Groot taking the technical lead, Thorizon is ready to drive the company’s next stage of growth to advance its pioneering Molten Salt Reactor technology.
‘We urgently need new nuclear power technology to reduce our carbon footprint. I firmly believe the Thorizon technology and team hold the key to making a fundamental impact for future generations. I think this is the most exciting and meaningful field of work to be part of today,’ says Kiki.
Prior to joining Thorizon, Kiki held various leadership roles in technology-driven scale-ups. She graduated in Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology and obtained an MBA from INSEAD business school in Singapore. Kiki’s career began as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company, specializing in advanced industries.
